Jeeps in movies

I was watching one of Sci Fi's cheesy movies the other night, Showdown at Area 51. This one was terrible. Anyway, this base uses nice shiny TJ's as their primary run-around vehicles. One of them was forced off the road and ended up on its side. So they show the undercarriage and lo and behold... there were four leaf springs visible and a lot of rust.
I thought it was pretty funny.
