Jeeps are for girls?

edit : so it turns out that this op was poorly written and caused some serious confusion. I did not mean to say that all girls who drive jeeps don't know how to wrench or that girls should not be driving jeeps. Feal free to read this op but don't post anything directly about it until you have read more of the posts. What i wanted to discuss here is the diverse demographics of jeep owners and that there is nothing wrong with that.

So i used to always read those stickers and just think to myself what are you talking about! Maybe your neon yellow bone stock tj is for girls but my 76 7 is about as badass as rides come and i question whether or not you even have enough muscle in your left leg to put my clutch in . . . or for that matter if you even now how to drive manual. I mean i'm not hating on girls but i'm just saying a lot of the girls i see with those stickers probably wouldn't even now how to change a tire.

I used to be offended that someone would desicrate what i believe to be one of the most manly things, wrenching on a jeep, by saying that jeeps are for girls. Then it hit me tho. It seems like jeeps have probably the most totally opposite types of enthusiasts. When i say jeep i mean cj/yj/tj/jk. On one hand you have the guys like us who spend most of our time and money working on our jeeps. I think most people would say our type of jeeps are pretty manly and our anything but "for girls." On the other hand tho, there are a ton of non-straight people and very girly girls who drive jeeps. Just watch zoolander. Its like theres two totally opposite types of drivers who like jeeps.

I dunno I just thought about it and it seemed kind of unique/funny. Not sure how i feel about that. . .your thoughts?

disclaimer-I'm not saying girls are week and i am not saying non cj/yj/tj/jk jeeps aren't real jeeps. I am also not saying that girls can't drive real jeeps and wrench on them. I am talking about steriotypical girls driving bone stock jeeps.

You date these girls, wheel their Jeep, and enjoy the other benefits. When the Dana 35 breaks, move on to the next girl.

Yep Jeeps are for girls. We build them big and bad so the girls will look at us. We work at a real job and make real money so we can attract the girls. We shower and wear cologne to attract the girls. Everything we do is for the girls. Even the manly man stuff we do is to prove to the girls we are the one they should be attracted to. Yep everything is for the girls.

Jeep girls are awesome! They like camping, getting out in nature, tend to be physical and not some wallflower shrinking violet that is afraid of rain, snow, or bugs. Send all the Jeep Girls my way . In my area I have yet to see a 'unattactive' woman driving a Jeep. If I had it my way, everyone would have a Jeep!

You're right, I do see a lot of girls driving Jeeps. However, even if it is bone stock, there is nothing sexier than a hot girl driving a Jeep.

Damn right.

But the cologne is a bit overwhelming.

I may be feeding a troll here but...

Actually, I think a CJ 5 is more BA.

And why is your clutch so hard to push in? That's not good. Maybe you should be manly and get around to wrenching on that.

or for that matter if you even now how to drive manual. I mean i'm not hating on girls but i'm just saying a lot of the girls i see with those stickers probably wouldn't even now how to change a tire.
Hello, I am a girl. I can drive a manual transmission quite well. I also know how to change a tire. But thank you for being ignorant by throwing all girls under one roof. And yes you are "hating" on girls by saying that.

Quote:

You mean desecrate? No one is desecrating you that I am aware of. So...I should call myself "manly" because I wrench on Jeeps.

But seriously, come on...

An XJ isn't considered a Jeep? Really?

I spend a lot of my time and money on my Jeep. Would you describe my type of Jeep as manly? If I kept it stock would it be more feminine?

None of us are 100% masculine or 100% feminine. And why does it matter if you are heterosexual or homosexual? Honestly, we're all Jeepers, who cares what your sexual preference is? How does that really effect you?

I dunno I just thought about it and it seemed kind of unique/funny. Not sure how i feel about that. . .your thoughts?

And yes...people are diverse. Welcome to the world.

I don't think girls are week or weak.

What is stereotypical (I think that's what you meant) about a girl driving a bone stock Jeep?

If guys drive stock Jeeps they are automatically feminine or less "manly?"

I am sorry but I don't live my life that bigoted.

I've seen some girls drive some built Jeeps and some of them have even worked on them themselves. Maybe you should get out more.

I think you could have avoided all that verbiage and just said "I am a tool. I am going to stereotype girls and think my Jeep is the most BA and manly Jeep out there. I am also going to make it seem like CJ/YK/TJ/JK are the only "real" Jeeps."

Because that's what I got from your post.

Feel free to change my mind.
