Jeepers Wave

What ever happened to the Jeeper's Wave. I have had my Jeep in storage for a few years, but now that I have it back, I noticed that not many people are doing "the wave" any more. What's going on people? Also, for those of us who do, doesn't Jeeper etiquette dictate that the newer Jeep initiates the wave to the older Jeep? IE TJ waves first to a CJ, 80's CJ to a flat fender? Am I just old fashioned?

Do a search in this forum for jeep wave and you'll find a recent thread about it that was pretty long

eh if you are going to wave wave... dont worry about who waves to who first. i tend not to care if anyone waves back i just toss up a finger over the wheel and keep on keepin on... unless its a cutie, then i wave-turn sideways wave some more- turn around get on side of her- wave some more no but seriously sometimes people dont see you... i dont look for jeeps to wave at and sometimes i catch the end wave from someone as they pass and there is no time to respond... then again some people see you and just look at you like your stupid.

I get a lot more waves when my Jeep is clean and shiny. Almost none when it's muddy. Strange but true. Maybe it's because it's more eyecatching when red & shiny.

I am the compltete opposite, I get more waves and stares when my rig is nice a dirty.

But I wave when a Jeep passes by. I have a certain few I always pass by during work in the mornings, its like we know eachtoher now because of always waving to one another.

Up where I live there is a guy in a Wagoneer and a few Cherokees that wave to me.

Have a good one,
Justin

Bullhead City Arizona is the non-waving capital of the world, I have gotten so fed up in 3 months I now almost never wave. I have been in Phoenix and Payson and gotten a ton of waves in the last week. I guess it is just about where you are at. As for a heirarchy, hells no, wave or don't wave but they are all jeeps and therefore all equal..........well, as long as there is at least stock clearance at the TC skid.

I get a return wave probably 85% of the time. And plenty of times the other person waves first as well.

Although I can say that I have never gotten a darn thing from anyone in something other than a Wrangler.

It's just Wranglers and CJs that wave here in Georgia. There are too many other people that drive other types of Jeeps to wave at them, they'd find it weird. I do wave at the occasional XJ but only if its riding on at least 35's and looks like they person wheels it and didn't just buy it that way because it looked cool. Later <><

Hey, he's the president of the Redneck jeep club AND a member of the black jeep club!

I thought those groups didn't overlap too well . . .
