Read all about the Burma Road ... that is the most significant contributions that the jeep made.
No roads, or roads to narrow for the deuces ... History channel made a good documentary about jeeps too. There is some footage of the friendly locals crossing the rivers with the jeeps on some kind of "stretcher"
