There were two models of Forward Control in the late 1950's and early 1960's - the FC-150 (roughly a 1/2-ton truck) and FC-170 (roughly a 1-ton.) The FC-170 often had dual rear wheels on either end of a D70 rear.
The FC series was only made for a short time - 1959-1963 or so - by Kaiser. AMC didn't resurrect the thing (which is kind of a pity.) The wheelbase was somewhere around 105", as I recall, and both had a 53" track width (although there was a 48" version of the FC-150.)
I believe that they either came with the Willys-designed F4-134 or F4-226 engines. Any further details, and I'd have to consult my notes.

here are some pictures from a thread on these on a local board

Has anyone every had or restored one of the FCs? They remind me of bulldogs...ugly as all but just plain cool. Wouldn't a FC-160 DRW or a M-677 be a really cool tow rig?
how about this????

or maybe something like this!!

Dad has a fc150...I believe these were all short wheelbase. I read somewhere that if the bed was empty, Jeep did not advise driving down a steep slope and braking for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I read that Willys had to put a counterweight behind the rear axle of the FC150 because they had a tendency to do "face plants" under hard braking.
I've always wanted one, but around here it seems like they are either rusted out hulks or restored with a 15k price tag.
