JEEP eV - Electric Hybrid

Check this out, a jeep hybrid. It's on the front page of the http://www.jeepin.comforum. Unfortunatley, I think Chrysler just decided to shut down the only plant they have set up for making hybrids. Pretty impressive, 400 miles in 8 gallons, first 40 miles on electric only.

It's real, Jeep showed an EV Wrangler Unlimited and Town and Country and an all-electric Viper. The Wrangler and Town and Country use a similar system to the Volt. They've also showed a concept called the Jeep Renegade that uses the same system as well, but with a diesel engine.

Except the Renegade is super fugly and baby poo green in color, and NOT a Wrangler. Lol.

But the diesel motor acts as a generator on the Renegade, electric motors for drive. 100+ MPG.

So they're finally using technology that trains have been using for years?

I dunno, I love the Renegade. Give it an actual roof and take out those silly speed holes in the doors, and I'd be all over that thing like a fat kid on a sundae.

EDIT: What they should do is, since they want all those extra setups for the trunk, offer a full-length roof and removable panels into the trunk so you could put a bench seat back there for 4 passengers.

Now, what they need to do is put the Renegade's diesel/electric system into the Wrangler, and you've got what can officially be called The Best Vehicle Ever. I mean, the only thing that would make that thing better is a free blowjob with purchase.

Hell yea, I love it too. I plan on buying one if/when it comes out. It's sweeet. Has lockers and 31's stock.

268 HP per axle. That's pretty sweet.
