Jeep/Car/Truck/SUV

I can end the debate.

Myself: SOrry dude, my bookbag is out in the jeep

John: Stop bragging about your jeep. I don't say, that my bookbag is out in the pinto, i say that it's in the carrrr.

Myself: Yeah, but the jeep isn't a car

John: no, it's a truck

Myself: no, it's not.

John: Lets ask that blind dude over there

myself: blind guys can't drive

John: so he can feel it

Anyhow, we had the blind guy feel my jeep and he said that it feels like a truck. Thus we can conclude that the jeep must be a small truck. So from now on, my bookbag is in the truck.

Harry: You sold your dead bird to a BLIND KID!?

Lloyd: Harry, I took care of it!

But the blind guy wouldn't even know what a truck looked like. What if when you say 'truck' he pictures a honda prius? This is inconclusive data.

I had this issue too!

Me: I got a Jeep.
Mom: You did??? Oh, how exciting!!!
Me: Yeah, I'm so happy!
Mom: Now... ok. So, what do you call it? You say, "I have to go out to my... blank..."
Me: Um... I really don't know!

Ask girly girls or very small children. Then you will get the definitive answer.

You cannot ask any guy, even blind guys, because it is inherent that they will know at least a bit about car and automotive stuff, thus you have an informed opinion, not a fact.

Kids and puff chics know very little about this subject, and thus will give a clearer answer.

I would qualify a 'truck' as something that can haul cargo. We ALL know Wrangler's (SWB) can't haul enough cargo, so therefore it is a Jeep, and not a truck!

If I drove a Pinto, I probably wouldn't brag about it either.

A Jeep is a Jeep. You're calling it like you see it. If he thinks it is bragging, then he must be envious.

Dude, he's just jealous is all. I refer to mine as a Jeep all the time and people say the same thing. Then I threaten to park ontop of their cars and thats the end of it!

Exactly, I drive a Jeep, not a car or truck, but it can be considered an SUV, though my registration says Convertible. I call it a Jeep all the time and noone *****es about it, and they always ask me "how's the Jeep doing?" because they know me and know I'll put a tire track across their hood if they call it anything else.

If it's a wrangler/CJ, truck definitely does not describe it. Jeep is the only word. As for the XJ, truck might work. I still call mine 'the Jeep' as do all my friends. Or 'the heep'.

Jeeps were around waaaaaaaaay before SUVs. They were always referred to as trucks. SUVs are for yuppies, and soccer moms.

Speaking of soccer moms....I was following this Lexus SUV yesterday, and she was proudly sporting a bumber sticker just simply saying "soccer mom" (WHY would you do that??!?!). Just from reading that, I could tell you a ton of things about her....and her driving.

That's way better than the title to my XJ, it says "Suburban" (well, the abbreviation anyway)
