Jailbroke I-phone trouble

I've goggled this, and perhaps I am using the wrong terms, or there are enough people with more severe issues that I can't find an answer. previous jailbreak threads were very helpful, so I hope you guys can help me again.

my phone hangs in the phone and Texting apps, it's quite frequent that when I hang up from a phone call, I can't make my way back to the home screen and must reboot.

I can't get many of the i-tues apps to work, and this seems to be recent.

it seems that the locks hang ups and non functioning apps are starting to outweigh the benefit of the few jailbreak things I like.

best I can tell I'm running a 3G with 3.1.2

ideas? did I miss an update? should I take it back to factory and try again?

once an i-phone is jail-broke, there's no warranty. my best advice is to take it to whomever did it, and see if they can fix it or find the problem.

I broke it, and it's simple to un-jail break it.

your saying no one on this site modifies their jeep while it's still in the warranty period?

solutions for my phone hanging?

my roomates phone does that. Is yours unlocked too?

Mine isn't jailbroken or anything and works fine. It used to be jailbroken but always shot craps. I just un-jailbroke it and it works great again. I didn't see any need to have it jailbroken anyways..

what did you use to jailbreak it? blackra1n? are you running lots of themes? how about the backgrounder app? do you have stuff running in the background?

take the time to undo the jailbreak - just restore to 3.1.2 and see if the hiccups are gone, then try re jailbreaking it

if the glitches are still there when its running a factory firmware you can still bring it in to apple and have them look at it - just dont bring it to them with it jailbroken, duh.

Never had a problem with jailbreaks on my 3GS or my old 2g. Undo it and try again. I use PwnageTool on my 3gs and Quickpwn on my 2g.

My iPhone 3G that is not jailbroke was doing what you described with not being able to hang up. Had to always reboot after all calls. I called customer service, they said it was a pretty common problem. I had to backup everything and restore it to the factory settings then reinstall. That was about a month ago and its been good ever since.

although only a few hrs, re-store has worked.

Backgrounder is the only thing I'll miss, although the other stuff was neat. if I ever need tethering i'd do it again.

Do you have a mac youre trying to jailbreak it from? If so try using pwnage tool. As far as the phone hanging up, I had the same issue the first time I jailbroke mine, it seemed to work better after I installed the complete updates to Cydia, sbsettings and rockextensions ... Let me know if you need help.

most are all the same "virus," just different reports - and all of them are on non factory firmwares with default root passwords - hardly a heist when you've left the key to fort knox in the mailbox..
