Chrome works amazingly fast compared to IE on my work PC but is much slower than Safari on my Mac at home.

At work I have two different setups for some of the web-based bioinformatics I do and I run the stuff I need asap on Chrome and my personal stuff off of Firefox. Sadly our work machines only come preloaded with Safari and Opera (WTF?), guess they felt Netscape Navigator was too advanced for us.

I was so excited for an updated iMac or mini. My laptop is a little long in the tooth and of course, they dont do anything. The pro update was a slap in the face.

Keep moving forward. But keep an eye on history, for if you don't, you are doomed to repeat it.

That only works on the iPhone 4S. On the previous models, the turn-by-turn will not function. It requires Siri. I found that out once I pushed iOS 6 to my 3GS.

Awesome! I use the IE plugin in Chrome when I have to use IE, such as with Sharepoint.

My 1st get iPad isn't getting the update... Sigh... Nor is my white MacBook getting the Mountain Lion update... Its still plenty fast and does a good job (since i put in an Intel 320 SSD). I am disappointed. I want the new 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display, but i cant justify $3000 for a laptop right now. Wwdc just hurt my feelings royally. .. Id love an i7 as an update to my Core 2 Duo, (especially seeing the comparison of my 1st gen i7 to the Core 2 Duo) but that's money that could best be used elsewhere.

I just don't get the iPhone thing. I've run Android for a few years now, both mobile and tablet. I've been using an iPad 2 stupid expensive tablet for a few months. And Monday I'm trading my wifes phone for a 4s. She wants one 'because'. I've been holding off, she needs a functional navigation program, but hers its finally physically failing. So in a few days I can actually side by side them. I'm not expecting a life changing experience anymore than I found Android to be.
I do like all the gadgets available though.

I'm not a fan of Apple, either. I find the Android OS to offer much better accessibility. However, Apple is fantastic to their customers. You can intentionally drive over your iPhone in a fit of rage or blow up your MacBook Pro with an M80 and they typically just give you a new one without any BS or runaround. With customer service being practically non-existent these days, Apple keeping their customers happy and doing what they can to make sure they have a functional, working device no matter what the situation is goes a long way.

what else are they going to use?
the i7's have actually evolved a lot. each year or so they were/are made, the chip changes, and gets a lot more performance. there have been 4 different i7 processors so far.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...icroprocessors
"Bloomfield/lynfield" 1st gen
"gulftown" 2nd gen
"sandy bridge" 3rd gen
"ivy bridge" 4th gen
each are different. the new mac pros feature the latest chips, released about 2-3 months ago.

I did move from Bloomfield (i7 930) to a Gulftown (i7 980x) and it was a huge improvement with a significant heat reduction!
