Interesting game
www.nationstates.net
It's pretty cool to see how your country turns out based on the decisions you make. Here is mine so far: Civil rights: Excellent Economy: Strong Political freedoms: Average The Allied States of Pee Town is a very large, socially progressive nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 81 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated. The enormous government is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and Education are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 28%. A healthy private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Gambling. Graffiti artists spend lengthy periods of time in jail, citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, surveillance cameras are banned, and the public health bureaucracy is wrapped in miles of red tape. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem. Pee town's national animal is the platypus, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the bean. Pee town is ranked 1423rd in the region and 30,371st in the world for Largest Insurance Industry. Somehow, I've digressed from "Libertarian Paradise" to "Left Leaning College State" in the month that I've been playing.

Very Good Economy: Very Strong Political Freedoms: Good Location: the Pacific Regional Influence: Minnow The Republic of Ramone202 is a tiny, socially progressive nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which. The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A healthy private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Woodchip Exports and Gambling. Crime is pervasive. Ramone202's national animal is the raven and its currency is the towel . |

The Empire of Death and Meanness
"You'll live here and like it, or not." Category: Corporate Police State Civil Rights: Some Economy: Very Strong Political Freedoms: Unheard Of The Empire of Death and Meanness is a tiny, economically powerful nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed. There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Retail, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries. Crime is a serious problem. Death and Meanness's national animal is the spider, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the blood. |

The average income tax rate is 21%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small but healthy private sector is led by the Basket Weaving industry, followed by Door-to-door Insurance Sales and Beef-Based Agriculture. Crime is moderate. The 5 million residents thing is a dead give away.
A couple of hints, if you go into you settings, you can set it for two issues per day. Also, try to avoid passing on legislation, if you do, your population doesn't grow.
