If I were to re-paint my XJ, it would either be black again, or this color. I love intense blue.

It does look duller; i figured it was the pic and/or the jeep was dirty.

In 2003, if I recall correctly, there was only Intense Blue and Patriot Blue. I couldn't decide when ordering, and finally went with the Intense Blue.

not sure moose, may just be dirty/in the shade. maybe we could get a steel blue jeeper to confirm?

also, anyone know where/how to find out how many intense blues left the factories in 2003?

That jeep looks odd to me for some reason. Maybe it's dirty or it's the lighting but in that pic it looks like that jeep has been repainted. From what I know, 1997-1999 were actually called gunmetal blue and a little lighter in color like mine. 2001-2002 were steel blue, which are close to mine but a little bit darker. I am pretty sure 2002 was the last year for the gunmetal/steelblue color. Intense blue replaced it in 03.

i've got an intense 03 Rubicon if that counts. used to have the steel blue 01. hurt to get rid of it, but the intense made it all better.
