My soon-to-be-purchased 08 JK Sahara will be $530 a year with multi-car, homeowner's discount. That is with 100/300/100 and $500 deductible. The agent actually said "Congratulations on getting the Wrangler because its insurance rate is the cheapest of the vehicle it replaces (99 Mitsubishi Galant) and the other new car (08 Ford Edge Limited)!" I'm 38, married, and got my last speeding ticket about about three years ago. And I had to file an uninsured motorist claim on the Galant for about $1800.00. Moving from Texas to Ohio saved me a LOT on insurance at least.

In Jersey - I pay 457 for 6 months ($76/month). It's actually less than I was paying with the sports car I traded in, so I'm happy. That includes multi-car discounts and that we have homeowner's ins. with them too, but State Farm has been good to us!

I am a State Farm Agent in Grand Prairie, TX. Each state has its own way of regulating Insurance providers. Here in Texas, there are MANY factors that can determine what each person or household pays. Itís not just the vehicle, but is also the driver and their driving history and other items (what the vehicle is used for). There are also many discounts that can be provided as well. For example, if you have your house and your cars insured with most companies, you will receive a multi-line discount. Not all companies are the same. I suggest you contact your local State Farm Agent and discuss how you can save more money.
I am only licensed in the state of Texas, so I can only answer for Texas drivers. (that is my disclaimer)!

I traded in a 2005 Dodge Neon (hey, it was cheap and was just a temporary car - I rarely drove it) for my JK and my insurance went down $15 per month. I thougth they made a mistake, but they said it's because the JK had more safety features.

I am with Progressive, multi car and home owners discount, 28 female with perfect driving record *knock on wood* and I pay about $65/month.

I'd pay $300 per month if I had to. It's well worth it to have a smile on my face every time I go anywhere, which seems to be more often since I got the JK!

I love my Jeep!

Mine is $48.66/Mo Full Coverage. I am 27 yrs old and have a mulit-car discount, claims free discount, and multi-lines(homeowners) discount. I have a clean record and married. This is through Hochheim Prairie Insurance Co. I am also an agent in the state of Texas. so with my commission back it cost me 43.55/Mo. plus I save an additional $50 more per year on my home insurance having my auto with the same company.

to give you some idea about my driving record, before I remarried I paid over $900 per month on my Jeep alone . . . now that I'm remarried and several years removed from being an idiot, I pay a little over $100 per month for pretty darn good full coverage from Allstate on two vehicles.
