Just bought it, and watched it, and although it was a good movie, I have to say that George Lucas is a real deuch for turning it in to a Science Fiction movie. I mean really, was he cracked out when he thought about the extra-dimensional alien things, since when did that belong in an indiana jones movie. The indiana jones i grew up with fought nazis and looked for cool christian based artifacts. He wasn't some commie fighting old guy that rode ***** on a motorcycle, driven by shia lebouf, and carried a gun that he didn't shoot (I'm convinced it wasn't even loaded). It was a good movie, but it didn't stay true the ideals of the Leater Jacket/ Tweed suit wearing rugged explorer/college professor, that is Dr.Jones.

Didnt the past ones deal with supernatural ideas too? Im pretty sure the Ark opening and melting everyones faces off was sort of supernatural.

It's no dumber than any of the original movies - I mean seriously, you're ok with the Ark of the Covenant, Magical Rocks and the Holy Grail but you draw the line at aliens?
Really?
My issues with it are solely to do with plot and character development, I thought Ray Winstone's character was completely unnecessary, John Hurt was wasted and Cate Blanchett was wasted.
The refrigerator bit was kinda dumb, but no worse than the other movies so I could forgive that, but there was the unmistakable hand of George Lucas in it, the movie rubbed me up the wrong way.

I didn't like the stunts. When the car went into the river, that looked so fake.

i thought it was the worst. its not that the others werent far-fetched, just more consistent throughout the previous movies. ther were more about history and archaeology and not as sci-fi, which is the main reason i didnt like the new one.

I didn't like it either, I'm glad it was a rental.

Not yet I don't think, but I'm sure it's coming, except you'll only be able to get the four disc version.
Just like I'm sure that when Star Wars comes out you'll only be able to get all six episodes, because seriously, if you could buy the original trilogy without the new crap, you would, wouldn't you?

I think the Hulk comes out next week, didn't you work on that one? Are you going to be in the credits at the end?

The surround sound was outstanding and alcohol made it plausible enough to watch.
The THX primer at the beginning was almost reason enough to rent the disc....
