I worked in service at a Toyota dealership from early 07-early 08 and saw two transmissions replaced, one engine knocking (dont' know what happened to this one quit before they decided what to do), a few ball joints, one rear end and electronics for the 4wd/t-case. There was other normal complaints come in but nothing else really major. We were the only Toyota dealership within 50 miles so I'd say a population of around 100,000 would consider that dealership the closest.

My brother has an '09 with 40K on it now. He got the rock warrior package and has not had a single complaint since. It hauls *** and does very well on MPG when he pays attention. He has a bullydog tuner, K&N filter and is adding a larger exhaust soon.

It is not the full size 4 door rather, the shorter cab 4 door. I am 6 foot and shy of 300lbs and can sit behind him with no big complaints.

The ONLY drawback I found, and see it more often on newer cars, was the oil filter setup. It is a paper filter you slide into the canister. The hardest part, and drawback, is he has to remove the factory skid plate every time he changes the oil.

Other than that, it is an awesome truck. Pulls very well and interior comforts are very nice.

I have a 2010 Crewmax (the huge cab with the shorter bed.) TONS of space, plenty of power even with the smaller V8 (I have the new for 2010 4.6 that they robbed from the lexus line, and is actually the same engine as the 5.7 with a shorter stroke.) It's 310 HP. It has a 6 spd auto. It's quiet, comfortable, safe, and I'm very satisfied. My one complaint would be that the vehicle stability control can be over sensitive at times. If you're in a little bit of snow and you WANT to spin the tires a little just to get through a slick spot it won't let you. You can toggle all that stuff on and off, of course, but sometimes it is a little over sensitive IMO. Oil changes definitely are a pain in the ***, and it uses almost 8 qts of 0w20 full synthetic which can be tough to find and expensive. I've been using 5w20 that they do have 5 quart jugs of at wal-mart. I haven't had a bit of trouble with mine and i would recommend them for anyone that's shopping for a 1/2 ton pickup.

with every thing said above. 5W20 is what the 5.7 specs call for, not sure on the 0W20.
