Yea, you can file for mail fraud since you sent the money order thru the mail and he signed for it.

In california penal code section 532(a) covers what has occured. If the transaction was over $400.00 it is a felony. This is provided the documents you have clearly explain the transaction and what was supposed to occure. Of course you are not in California so this may not apply. Now regardless of any penal code section or not you have what amounts to a civil breach of contract (contracts do not not need to be formal) and I would say if you ever expect to receive your money or your parts, aside from him doing the right thing, you will need to sue him in civil court. (AKA. Judge Judy). Sounds like you have a good case its just going to be a bit of a pain in the arse.
FYI: I'm sure the post office is going to tell you this is not mail fraud since you were not directly solicited via mail. Your bank and the post office both are most likely goign to send you on your way since there is not much they are going to be able to do with this. Hope it all works out for you though.

I'm not trying to prusaude you in a making up your mind. But he might be waiting for it to clear, there are A LOT of fake money orders. The only way he can know hes not getting jipped is if it actually clears and he gets his cash.

hey guys, i just got a PM from another member and found out that he has ripped off JF members in the past, his name is Jon00XJ. i dont think theres a way for me to get my money back. im extremely mad, i really hope this doesnt happen to anyone else. STEER CLEAR AWAY FROM HIM.
i really want to take a ride down to cleveland TN, knock on his door and whoop his ***. But obviously i cant do that. im not giving up just yet, but i dont think theres anything i can do.

He is counting on you saying "Nothig I can do" It costs very little of your time and none of your money to make some calls. Start with your local law enforcement and go from there. There is nothing you can do without enlisting the help of others so make some calls unless your satisfied to just let him take your money. If that is the case then no sense in starting this thread in the first place. Bottom line is there is still quite a bit you can do.
