What you should have done is taken all of them to a local high school or college and used a whole class in a computer lab, and tell them you would buy them pizza when they are done!

We have one of these at the office, I can't believe you're doing 1500 drives like this. lol
http://www.americanrecordablemedia.c...ive_Duplicator

It'll duplicate 20 at a time and is only limited by the speed of the USB drives, ours will do 20 of our 1GB thumb drives in about 15 seconds.

I know what my boss would say if I asked him for one of those...NOT! It is just unrealistic to ask someone to accomplish that job in one day. I would have created a shared file and handed the flash drives to the people getting them and had them get their own file.

Those are sweet but if we bought one it would wipe out all of our profit on these types of jobs....they are far and few between but very profitable!!!

I am making $.70 per USB

A nights work? lol

He made this thread yesterday, and then this morning posted he only had 700 more to go.

Either way, thats a nice piece price you have there.

After thinking over, in case i am ever in this situation....

....I would have rounded up every *little* distant relative i have and offered them skittle and red bull to do it all.

I am now at 1,200 pieces completed....finally on the home strecth. I have just been doing them here and there today as they must be done by tonight.

I am keeping track of my exact time so when I am done I will know how much time it took me to do this. And then I can calculate my hourly wage. I am hoping its around $50/hr.

Everything was finished up last night in time for the big shipment

In total I spent 20 hours on this project which means I earned about $50/hr. Not to shabby

The good thing is that these jobs usually arent so rushed so I can take my time and do them over the course of a week.

I am so glad this job is over...I was going crazy after a while.
