It'll be very useful. It would be like telling the guy at the wine shop what foods you'd be eating.

Seriously, try the La Flor de Canos. They're a fairly mild smoke with nice vanilla and floral notes. They pair well with most scotches and don't over power the flavors of the scotch. They're also just strong enough that the scotch, if properly blended with a little water, won't over power the smoke.

If you smoke regularly, you might want to pick up a box for your humidor. They're the best value in Cubanos today.

the owner and 1 other guy are the only people that work at the place I'm going, whenever I've gone in there he's smoking either a pipe, or a cigar and is always quite helpful. I just thought I'd get a few ideas so im not totally clueless when I go in there tomorrow night

A.Fuente, CAO, Don Diego, and Rocky Patel are all pretty good, I'd say your best bet is to go to the shop and hope that the person selling them knows what he's talking about. I'm fortunate enough to have a shop near me with a good selection, and I usually see the same knowledgeable guy working.

thanks for the help guys! I ended up getting Arturo Fuente Opus X. He said they are very rare, and only released a few times a year. Seems to have very good reviews too. Thanks again everyone!

They are pretty rare, not SUPER rare though.

I'm not gonna ask how much you paid for them, because you probably got raped without even knowing it.

make sure you keep them stored properly, it'd be a shame to waste all those opus by drying them out.

That's a good cigar. It's not as rare as they make it out to be but I doubt you'll be disappointed. Enjoy.

Sorry to hijack, but why exactly are cubans illegal? Me and my friend were talking about it, and I always thought it was because America was all butthurt about cuba being commies, but my friend said it was because of traces of marijuana.

Thought so, oh well, I'm planning on going to Canada sometime soon, so I'll have to try one up there.
