I have never heard of this....have you

I ordered about 600 bucks worth of parts from a large jeep parts wholesaler for my new rubicon. Guess what they did....they charged me double to make sure i had the funds in my account. I used my debt card to pay for this so the money came straight out of my account. So instead of having 600 bucks left in my account i got nothing in my checking account. They said i will have to wait anywhere between 48 to 72 hours. This caused me to bounce my jeep payment. This is a complete load of crap. When i asked them to show me on their website where they inform you of this they said there isnt a place. Have any you guys ever heard of this.

Sounds like bull**** to me, file a dispute with your bank and challenge the charge.

Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled

I have never heard of that. I would cancel my order because of it. Its none of their business how much MORE money you have in your account. Not sure if its legal or not, but I have never heard of it. I would dispute it with the company and your bank.

This is normal, it's an account check. If you have a problem like bouncing a payment, call your bank.

First I have heard of anyone doing that and I can't imagine it is legal without consent. I'd find another place to order parts from.

This is not normal. I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of items from the net and have never been double charged.

they don't take your money, they put a hold on it. I had a similar situation, it went away when my $2,000 purchase cleared.

I ordered from 4wd.com earlier in the year, and they did nothing like that. I've heard of places putting a 'hold' on funds, but never for merchandise (usually a retainer for damages). I'd fight it higher up in their company, as a lot of us may take our $$ elsewhere if that's the case. Let us know how it turns out, good luck!

yeah im not happy about this at all. They guy i talked to says that sometimes banks move slower on credits then charges. So it might just be taking longer to see my money back into my account. Hopefully ill see it tomorrow.
