We got 12 inches last night. Considering that the most we've ever had is 2.5 inches in 1914, our city is pretty inadequate for this type of weather. It looked like the apocalypse with all of the abandoned vehicles strewn across the roads.

We got 14 inches 2 1/2 weeks ago and now are in a blizzard expecting another 10 to 15 inches. The wind is blowing at 40 MPH and the drifts are huge. Visibility is so bad that I had to come to a complete stop on the road to get my bearings after busting through a drift. My GF and I may be snowed in now that we made it home, our driveway has a 4 foot drift that I busted through to get back home, but it is now bigger. I have the biggest baddest Jeep in the area ( there are not a lot of Jeeps around here ) and if I can't make it, there is no one to come and help me. We are prepared for this, we have lots of food, fire wood, books, and movies, and she is a cute little blond, so I'm good.

Merry Christmas

I'm not going anywhere. Not a lot of snow, but I have a 1/2 in of ice covering my Jeep including my door locks. I can't even get my key in. I'm sure defrosting will be a ***** considering that it doesn't work well at all. To think I have to finish moving today/tomorrow.

It's a wet Christmas here in NJ. Rain.

Snow from last weekend is still out there, though it's turned to slush by now. Soon it will freeze and be ice.

Started snowing last night about 2am and it is still coming down. 20mph sustained winds 40mph gusts. 4-5 ft. drifts. dug out this morning and already have 4 inches sitting in the driveway.

I am the only one of my friends with 4WD so I have been taking ppl to work and whatnot. It's been pretty fun

I bet they aren't dreaming of white Christmas anymore.

I finally got my Jeep un-frozen and was driving around base for a while. I went sideways once turning in 2wd. I forgot that street was a little narrow and corrected to much. Security Forces stopped me to ask if I could pull them out of the ditch. The poor A1C didn't want to have to call it in (probably having to much fun). I unfortunately didn't know where my tow strap was. There was also a guy with a 5.0 mustang that was literally frozen in place. It was fun watching him race his engine trying to move.

Atleast he didnt fall asleep and plow through a fence like one of ours did

We got a record for Xmas day here...a modest 9.2". But thats on top of all last months dump that has melted.

Got drifts up to 8 feet against the building here.

My Tacoma was buried and it took my son an hour to dig it out. As a reward he got to plow it thru 3 foot high snow around the compound. It did surprisingly well.

My uncle got a bunch in Norman, OK...pretty unusual for there.

This pic was early in the morning here in Bismarck and it snowed all day...
