How young is too young?

For a topless/safari top jeep, ya bunch perverts!

Just curious what everyone here thinks, at what age is acceptable for a child to ride in a topless/safari top jeep? I know my daughter is too young at the moment, but I want to have the top off as much as I can, and didnt know what the "acceptable" age was with a kid.

if properly secure, why would age matter?

there are so many laws now, that if you are obeying them, it shouldnt be a problem

First time we took our daughter out in the heep, she was a year old. We started with the sides off to see her reaction and then we took the top off after that. At first was at slower speeds, no highway driving.

As soon as my daughter was able to hold her head up herself I had her off road and she loved it soon after it was the only way to get her to sleep when she was over tired, she hated smooth roads.

Well my daughter is only 3 months old, so like I said, too young. My concern was not a legal issue, it is the fact that THAT much wind makes it hard for a child that young to breath

Good point, also I've been nailed in the face by a decent sized pebble on multiple occasions. Something to think about.

I had my son in the car seat at 9 months old, top down, kid laughing and yakking all the way, cruising main highways and the parkway. Never, ever had a problem. Now he is getting ready to graduate, starts college in sept. and is looking for his first Jeep.

Dont remember the exact age, but as soon as he was in a front facing seat I had him in the Jeep

Just a traveling cat in a tall black hat riding a goat. Nothing to see here.

My 4 year old was in the back off my old CJ at 8 months . Ran her first trail at 9 months. Now she gets mad when I pick her up from daycare in the TJ and the top is ON. Her sisters 6 months now and going on her first trail Memorial weekend.

My thoughts exactly. I was expecting a 19 year old asking whether a 17yr old was too young or something like that

My girls are 3 1/2 and sometimes complain about being cold when the Jeep is topless and sometimes complain about the wind at higher speeds, so I always keep two blankets under the seats.
