how to restore chrome rims?
i have some chrome rims with some rust. i dont really want to get new ones. the rust is not that bad. can i use rust oleum to at least cover the rust and make it look a little closer to the way the rest of the wheel looks?

mythbusters used cola and rubbed with aluminum foil. seemed to work pretty good on an old bumper

Try #7 Chrome Polish/Cleaner. Works pretty gold.

I use 0000 fine steel wool with some chrome polish, you will be amazed.

Brillo pad if it's only light surface rust. Once it starts pitting a Brillo will only get the light stuff off. There is also a cotton wad that comes in a chrome can, I can't think of the name right now, that I have used in the past that works pretty good too. It turns black when you rub it and then you polish it off to a nice shine.

There used to be this stuff called navel jelly it was pink like pepto and worked awsome don't know if they still make it.
