how to restore chrome rims?

i have some chrome rims with some rust. i dont really want to get new ones. the rust is not that bad. can i use rust oleum to at least cover the rust and make it look a little closer to the way the rest of the wheel looks?

Try #7 Chrome Polish/Cleaner. Works pretty gold.

Brillo pad if it's only light surface rust. Once it starts pitting a Brillo will only get the light stuff off. There is also a cotton wad that comes in a chrome can, I can't think of the name right now, that I have used in the past that works pretty good too. It turns black when you rub it and then you polish it off to a nice shine.
