Concrete is a mixure of sand gravel and portland cement. It contains moisture. When you apply heat to it the moisture heats until it turns tosteam and as in popcorn it causes the concrete to blow up. It will leave a spalled section in your driveway or sidewalk.

I would advise you to go out and try it to prove it to you but in the matter of safety I can't do it. If you decide to be stupid as you claim I am please at least wear safety glasses.

When it happened to me I was wearing a faceshiled with a cutting shield in it and cutting steel for a trailer. It blew a section out of the concrete approx 1.5' in diameter with the deepest part being 2-3".

Concrete contains water it will explode. For the best rock explosion get a rock from a river or stream and heat it. Again I would advise against it due to safety concerns.

Cool pedal car, where can I get one.

Wrong. There is moisture in concerte.
When concerte totally drys out (100 years) if starts to fail.

That is why you want concerte to slowly dry on the outside. This give it strength.

How do I know: 5 years working with concerte for highway construction.
Need to pay for my beer habit when I was young.

I'd personally use Cillit Bang to get the wax off.

be sure not to use it if you have had caffeinated beverages within the last eight hours or your hair will catch on fire.
