I found a formula on the net that came up with 4047

Someone on my team had M&M's.
32 = 1 ounce
That would mean 4096 = 8 lbs

Subtract the jar, and I'm going with the 4047

Thanks for the input

That's twice everything that I've come across.

2 US quarts = 1 892.7059 cubic centimeters

(Volume / size of M&M) * packing density = #M&Ms
(1 892.7059 / .636) * .68 = 2 023.64782

4 quarts = 1 gallon

4047.2956

why didn't they use candy corn or something cheaper? m&m's are expensive little suckers.

and to the OP: are they regular, peanut, almond, crispy, peanut butter or a mixture? might want to check that out.

It's only $25, and I would also get the jar. My company is cheap. I wonder if anyone around here would buy a jar of M&Ms.
