the 95 is currently being driven by my mom, but when it fails from lack of maintenance, i plan in fixing it right. the wife's zj will be gone as soon as the wife lets me list it for what its worth. the mj is not goin away, i have already been told by my daughter she wants it when she turns 16. luckily i got 10 years to fix it before she takes it from me.

I've had this one since 1989, and finally within the last 10 years or so, its increasing in value, at least when I look at the market... First time I can recall that ever happening in my life.
Still, its a no sale for many reasons.

I don't ever plan on selling mine. It's really been the best vehicle I've owned & has been paid off for many years. You never know what curve balls life might throw at you though.

Forever. Considering that Jeep no longer offers a fixed metal roof model with solid axles.

1st one- 1989 Cherokee Laredo. 12 great years
2nd one- 2001 Cherokee Limited. Got it before they were gone.

Probably a year at the most. Need a change and have it narrowed down to a JK on 37s, an Audi S4, S/C Scion FRS or that new Tesla they are saying is coming in 2017

Got my TJ in 2003, thought about selling it earlier in the year. Bought a JK as replacement, then wife says to keep both! I think TJ will stay until it dies.

I have owned several Jeep vehicles.

When I hit 40, told the Wife, mid-life crisis and finally got my Wrangler.
I will keep it has a yard ornament if the "Mule" goes before I do.

Thanks, I learned my limits with the first two 5's, so when I found this one in 89 with 14k on it, I knew...even then, I had a keeper. I offered 4k and they took it, it had white steel rims, no lift, no flares, but did have the levi package, larger radiator, and a few other items with the original window sticker, they paid close to 8k for it when new. Its a weekender, summertime ride only, I average 1000 miles a year, and I'm currently at 42k.

Wow, nice score! I love the older Jeeps. I'm looking for a CJ-3a right now to resto-mod. I'm hoping that it will become my "forever" Jeep.

I plan on keeping my wrangler forever. My most regretted jeep sold was my 2007 SRT8.

Curious what trans you have and how much it cost you? I'm simply inquiring because if I keep running mine as a DD, I have a feeling I'll be replacing my trans in due time.
My dads friend rebuilt it for me, all I did was buy the parts. It cost somewhere around $350-$400 for the rebuild, that was all highest quality parts and a shift kit.
