How an Engine Works

Hey yall, I was browsing the webs this morning before work and came across this super informative animation of how the engine functions, may be a little elementary for some veterans here but many of those who aren't versed in engines could find it interesting as to how it all goes together. http://i.imgur.com/2aFHg8Z.gif

The fact that this is a gif totally makes it awesome.

CNN had a great version a little bit ago talking about F1

I knew all that is included in the gif already but that is probably one of the best ones I have seen for a complete explanation of the inner workings and the inclusion of each different aspect, intake, exhaust, cooling, spark, fuel and air plus the quick hybrid is very nice. I am saving this for future conversations. Much easier to explain to someone with a solid reference such as this.

Good find and thanks for sharing.

When I explain the internal combustion engine, I use the trusty

Suck, squeeze, bang, and blow...

Seems to grab attention better than intake, compression, power, exhaust!!
