How do you rotate vids?

There's an option to rotate images clockwise or counterclockwise but how do you do it with videos? I transferred a bunch of images and vids from our ipad to my PC (windows 7) and alot of them are upside down. I flipped the images but the vids still show and play upside down. Is there a way to rotate them in windows or do I need some kind of editing program?

thanks

You can do it pretty easily in windows movie maker. When shooting video on your phone you're always better off shooting in landscape aka turn your phone sideways

i really wish more people understood this. oh, and keep it level with flat ground, once you start angling it, climbs and drops look like nothing. trees should be mostly vertical

I don't own a phone but we use the Ipad for videos sometimes. I shot them in both vertical and horizontal, depending on the kind of picture I needed but almost all the ipad vids came in upside down. I'll try movie maker.
