Just got my own insurance through Geico today. They put my wheels, tires and lift on there as well, and I pay 111/mo.

Hell, I didn't even have a car until I was 23.
I'm 14 and have a 1969 CJ5, 1992 Exploder, and a quad. Its not that hard to work for stuff. The exploder cost me $100 and the CJ $800. I'm giving my dad the exploder so he has something to drive and the CJ keeps me busy during the winter.

I'd like to know how these younger ones drive crotch rockets and afford the insurance? I waited until I was 35 and married to get my first crotch rocket because the insurance was outrageous before that.

Crtch rockets are a diff story. i had a beater bike for 3 years and then went and bought my rocket at 22. rates went to $4500/year just for the bike (not to mention mine and my wifes jeeps were already 200 a month!) i bought the rocket on a credit card, and called the finance company to see if i had to pay full coverage. i didnt, and i had theft protection for anything bought on the credit card (my main concern for the rocket) so i only paid liability (a gamble to be sure!!) but liability was only $250 a year. when i turned 24, i got a call from my car insurer (allstate) he said i could add my bike and get my 2 jeeps covered for $182 month full coverage), i asked how? he said i had had my motorcycle endorsement for 5 years and that was when the rates fall conciderably if you havent had a claim. 2 years later and its fallen even more!!

i believe living in the city will drive your rates up ridiculously high. i have state farm and insure my TJ, not fully mind you, for about 1200 a year. i also used to have a motorcycle which cost only 250 bucks a year, and it was an older crotch rocket.

edit: to answer the original question, find a steady job and work, dont go out a lot and sure as hell don't have a steady gf.

Wow, I thought my 115 a month on a 95 Grand Am was bad back in 2001. Right now, I am 27 and pay 45 dollars for each of my cars (90 total). The car still had full coverage only because totaled it is worth more. Right now if I sell it, it is only worth about 2,000. Jeep is worth 3,000.

Before I joined the Military and got USAA I had Liberty Mutual and they were great. I transfered almost all of my young friends to them. I don't know what there like today.
