Home Depot "Home Legend" Brand laminate flooring

Hey guys,

My wife and I are looking to get some Pergo-Esque laminate flooring for our home. We need around 730 square feet. This would be two bedrooms, a hallway, kitchen, and living room.

I have installed Mohawk and Swiftlock brand flooring in other homes and been satisfied with the quality. However, Home Depot carries a brand named 'Home Legend' with which I am not familiar. It has an AC3 rating, so it is comparably rated with the Swiftlock brand (Lowes). I became interested in 'Home Legend' when I saw it on sale for .99/sq ft. Swiftlock is around $1.75/sq ft - which is still a good value for laminate flooring.

Has anyone installed this brand of flooring, and how did you like it? We are looking at the 'Vermont Maple' color, 7mm thickness. We do have three dogs (Miniature Dachshunds) that are crated when we are not home, so resilience to animal paws is of importance. We're also interested in reports of initial quality, durability, and overall finish - specifically the joints and fit / finish.

Thanks for any insight!

Edit: I will be installing the flooring myself, if that matters at all.

I don't have experience with that specific brand but I do have 7mm laminiate flooring from Ikea and it has held up way better than I expected. Several years with two big dogs and not a mark on it. At the time it was the cheapest they had, around 88 cents/sq ft.
