Here's how you get 8-35% cash back on almost anything on eBay
I mentioned this is the TJ Tech forum last night and got a lot of questions so I'll post it here for everyone. For those of you that havent heard, Microsoft has been promoting their new search Engine "Bing" (previously "Live"). One way theyre doing this is paying a % of cashback to anyone who purchases something found through their search engine. A great place for this is eBay. So, here's how:
You must have (or create) a "live" or "hotmail" email account. You have to have Pay Pal. And you need an eBay account. All 3 must point to eachother meaning that your hotmail/live accounts must be registered in PayPal and eBay. The % of cash back you get is based on keyword search through Bing. For example, last November, searching "xbox" got 35% CB on eBay for a week (the highest eBay has ever been). Right now, "xbox" gets you 8% on eBay. Last week "Sony alpha 300 dslr" got 10%. Sites like cashbackr.com track keywords and what % CB theyre bringing in. So you're thinking, "I don't need an xbox, I need Jeep Parts!" Well you can have both. The way it works is, search for the prescribed keyword through Bing. It'll bring up your search results and up top there will be an ad that says something like "You could receive __% cash back from microsoft." Make sure its an eBay link. Click on it. Looks like this:  When you get to eBay you'll see a banner up top that says "eligible for __% Cash Back" (if you did everything right). Now change your search in eBay from xbox to Rubicon Express (or whatever). Stipulations: You must use a "Buy it Now" auction. You must pay with Pay Pal. You cannot buy vehicles and you cannot exceed $2k cash back. So find whatever it is you want to buy, and click "Buy it Now". You should see a microsoft banner that says "Congrats, you'll receive $xxx.xx Cash Back". If you dont see this, do not commit to buy and go back. You must have done something wrong. If you do see it, commit to buy. Go ahead and pay with paypal and youll receive your cash back deposited into PayPal anywhere from instantly to 60 days later. You can monitor all your cash back on Bing.com. There's a section called "Cash Back." I managed to snag a RE 3.5 SF kit for $919 (free shipping) last week. Got 10% back so it cost me $827 shipped. (Sorry JF Vendors, you didnt get back to me quick enough). Also got 2 new iPhone 3GS' at 35% CB the week they came out. Overall, Ive got over $2500 back in the last year. Best purchase was a set of New 33" GoodYear tires for my Titan. Shipped cost me $375 after CB. The trick is to catch it when the % goes up and try to find sellers with free shipping. Either way, right now, 8% for anything on eBay isnt half bad. You dont neccessarily have to use eBay either. eBay just has the most stuff to pick from. Just make sure that when you search through Bing you get the "you could get __% CB" ad. Here's a snap shot of my CB account. You can see the $92 from last week. This is only what Ive done since January. P 1 of 4.  Hope this helps guys. Sites like "FatWallet" and "Slickdeals" monitor this and can go way more indepth on how it works. I'm sure there are others here who have used this and can vouch for it. It seems kinda crazy but Ill jump through hoops to save $$$.
