Help build the ultimate Jeep - story thread

OK might be kinda lame beacuse of the 1000's of differing opinions of setup and parts. But lets start by saying you, me or whoever won the lottery and now we want to start putting together and building your dream Jeep.

Every post(er) to this thread gets to add a different part or mod. Cost is really of no matter but it must be within reason or from exhisting available mods or parts (IE no titanium frames..)

Since I started the base vehicle and few details are as follows:

2005 Jeep Rubicon
Must remain Street legal in all 50

So here we go. Do we have it stripped down to the frame and the frame powder coated? Who wants to start us off?

To reamail street legal in all fifty the biggest lift your gonna be able to run is a 4" kit. Being as height laws are low in some states. So Rubicon Express 4.5" superflex lift.

I think the RE4.5" lift is in actuality more like 5" or 6". Oh, and why not do the Unlimited Rubicon?

Not the new hemi...a 64 or so, from a nasty old Charger.

But I wouldn't get into an engine swap even if I had the resources...beggin for trouble, and I want to be able to road trip this thing, not make it a trail only rig.

my contribution is KC daylighters, in every possible mounting location...maybe a dozen of 'em, pointing all different directions. And chrome valve stem covers. I want it to look like a moon vehicle.

I agree, but AEV has a conversion that states the hemi will drop right in. Seemed like a relatively low hassle upgrade. I'm not sure how the fit or mods would be to drop in any other V8.
If your going to go with a real hemi, you would have to bore it, stroke it, and tweak it because you just have to.... It's a guy thing. And then you would run into more of a chance of overheating or problems.

6" speaker mounted underneath hood which repeatedly plays sound similar to that of a blow off valve, however no turbocharger is actually installed.

Got Rice?
