Take them to a gun dealer or pawn shop. Even if you sell it to a private party, a dealer still has to fill out the change of ownership papers.

You can also list them on gunbroker.com, but to transfer, the deal will have to go through an FFL. Go to the site and read up on it. Dont sell your guns to a pawn shop or dealer. They all collaborate to fix the price for the purchase of used guns at half of what they are worth. Also, if there is a gun show any time soon, go there.

Also, I don't know if this is true in Colorado. I know it is not in Florida. You can sell to a private party in Florida with no paperwork. Might be something to check up on.

My father used to sell and trade shotguns at firearm trade shows or something along those lines. He did it along time ago and I dont really remember.

Not the receiver. An incomplete receiver is the same a a whole gun in the ATF's eyes.

There is a long list of confusing rules on mailing guns. Things like you can mail a long gun to someone in your state, but not a handgun. You can mail a gun anywhere to and from yourself. It gets really confusing reading all the rules.

Not true at least here in the Free States, if you're selling to a resident of your own state.

Years ago in Colorado (the last time I did a private buy) we wrote out a simple contract with names, addresses, the serial number and included our driver's license numbers.

Selling rifles in NV is simple,. seeing as there's no registration.

Just fill out a bill of sale to cover your *** and boom, yer done.
