its bad what happen to them kids. its even worst using them to push his anti gun laws. give the adults in the school, the choice to protect them and the kids.then they would not be soft targets for gutless people to attack them. if you notice they usually kill themselves at first signs of adversity...

Neither question has any bearing on what's going on here, as the OP is speaking to a forum, not lobbying to VPOTUS.

Carry on.

Wait, I didn't get points for participation! I don't know how many points that would be worth, but if it were 20, I would at least have a passing grade!

+1, gun control is keeping control of your weapon. To include hitting your target , and keeping it out of the hands of people who should not have it.

they know not to touch daddies guns, they have their own.

in other words im too damn poor for a safe, so i hide the rifle behind a door thats hard for them to open in my room, and the pistol in my nightstand.

No matter what you think. No matter what anyone else tells you, you'll never be taken seriously until you can do so.
'Tis also a disservice to the intellect in general, and to your idea and position in particular.

If I have to decipher the first paragraph, I'm not going to read the rest of the paper. One thing I usually assign to any tutees I have is an "opinion paper" - doesn't matter what it's on, just:
- Present a subject.
- Present your position on the subject
- Defend your position on the subject, using clear logic and verifiable facts.

Remember:
- Spelling, grammar, and punctuation all count.
- Logical progression matters. If I can't follow your ideas one to the next, I'll likely fail the paper and demand a rewrite.
- Wiki is not considered a source for "verifiable facts." One Wiki reference will bomb the whole paper. (Use it to direct your research at the library, but GO TO THE LIBRARY. Library research does not seem to be taught in school, either.)

Now, might I ask at what level the system has decided to put you? Based on your use of language, I'm worried if it's anything beyond grammar school...

OP, bravo for separating fact from emotion in you decision-making. You'd be surprised how many 'adults' are out there parroting what the news people say, having an opinion rooted entirely in emotion with no empirical data with which to back it up.

As Greg Bell said on the NY senate floor, we (Obama) have done nothing to save any lives. The mental health system is still in shambles and idiot politicians and populace want to demonize/legislate the law abiding citizens of this country. We are screwed.
Yes.
And when you mix the anger, frustrations, and hopelessness feelings of youth with kids that grew up playing airsoft and video simulations of killing sprees, sometimes bad things happen.
I don't think gun control will fix the real problem.

Not at all. I struggle to understand how anyone thinks that someone hell bent on trespass, assault, battery, wreck-less endangerment, murder, etc. would take a second and go:

"Wait! these guns aren't legal! I'll have to go grab legal magazines and weapons with which to commit my many atrocities."

I believe James Holmes now has over 130 counts against him? Clearly...rules matter to these psychos. (sarcasm)
