Ground Zero

While out on patrol of NYC Harbor tonight I was able to snap some really cool photos from the river of down town NYC an of the lights from Ground Zero.

Hope you all enjoy.

This one is pretty cool is approaching area before the clouds cleared.

Random shot.

Up close.

Shows the height of the light in place of twin towers.

I have a several more photos but these were some of the better ones. Hope you enjoy them as we reflect back in time over the next few days.

I just watched a documentary on the construction of the memorial yesterday. Someday I'll be in NYC in a regular vehicle, and I'll make the trip to ground zero.

I wonder how much longer the memorial will be up before the "moderates" feel that it is somehow inappropriate... Good pics though!

The moderates will be hung before they get it taken down.

I want to say thanks for sharing, but i think we all know we much rather would not have to see the lights but rather the towers still standing.

Stay safe on the waters and thanks.

Easy killer, I will admit that I should leave the politics out. I was in the wrong. Good pics though! One question, where was I disrespectful?

Thanks for the pic.
I spent 14 yrs on an island just to the right of your pics. Ask some of the salts at work, they can tell you the stories.

Heres a before and after that I scanned in a while ago

Ive been to the top twice. First time as a teen with my school as a class trip. Second time in the mid 90s. Class trip also did Statue of liberty, Empire state building. Muesum of natural history and Hayden planiterium. Not to bad since school was 90 minutes away. We were owned by the Rockerfeller family

Really cool pics!

My sister was suppose to be in the towers that morning, she had all her stuff packed up and already there but the company she was working for in Washington DC asked her to stay for two additional weeks to finish a project. Thank God she agreed to stay!
