Got the Garmin V- great GPS

Ordered the Garmin V-
list price is $499- found it online for $409 total shipped price.
holds 19 megs of memory-
you can download sections of maps for the area you are in.
When driving down the freeway it will tell you the upcoming off ramps- food, gas and hotels- phone numbers to them.
driving on local roads shows the same info-
The display shows the road you are on- even shows dirt roads and fire roads-
it has auto routeing- just type in the address you want to go to and it will give you turn by turn directions to get there. will give average speed, top speed- elevation, rate of climb- gas milage section- backtrack- road restriction (no right turn from 5 to 6 pm) this thing is pretty cool.
highly recommended.
still reading the directions for this thing- it does more!
