That's not even close to being the same thing. When a person goes to play golf they dress appropriately to play the game and they expect to be riding in a cart. When a person or family decides to go with a leasing agent to view apartments, they don't expect to be riding around in a vehicle with no doors.

Have fun....

...doorless fun,
That only works if you live here in California. Within 4 weeks you would own that company. Kinda sad really...

well i had the doors off while i was at my barbacking job...worked late and didnt have time to put the doors back on. i went to the apartment place without doors.

i got a txt message from my boss saying to put the doors back on before i came in on saturday. i told her i would try but i couldnt say for sure if i could do it. she called and went on to yell at me about how its company policy to have doors on blah blah blah, i told her that if it was a wrangler that you guys wouldnt have a problem. i came to work without the doors saturday cuz i didnt get off work until 4:30 in the morning.

i walked in the door yesterday and they asked me to turn in my keys. all cuz of the jeep lol. oh well, i was putting in my two weeks on thursday so i could work full time at the barbacking job.

so long story short, i got fired cuz of the jeep lol
No, you got fired because you wouldn't comply with the employer's rules! They had made it clear to you before and you had the choice to keep the doors on, use another vehicle while at work, or find another job. I'd have fired you too. Now, as your parents should have already told you...GROW UP!

What is a golf cart, but a vehicle without doors? Personally, I would feel better riding in the XJ, as it is more stable, and would provide more protection in case of an accident.

If the clients were THAT uncomfortable, they could take their own damned vehicle.

BS....they just wanted to fire you. I personally LOVE the post of the three things that would solve that problem.

Coiming from an insurance agent.

There is a huge liability to the company while driving a car with the doors off and the insurance underwriter would decline coverage on such an accident if the cusomter fell out or was maimed because of them being off. Resulting in a huge lawsuit and the company policy going out of business.

On a side note, most underwriters will not take lifted trucks. You have to get specialty insurance to cover the lift if its over 2" for most companies. If you were to total the jeep you would get the KBB back at the most and be ****ed on getting money back for the lift, shocks, tires etc. Especially since the company has the right to salvage after paying a claim and you can't go in and take out all of mods you may have made.

The employer is in the buisiness of attracting stable, high caliber clients to live in their place and pay rent. Present company excepted, few people are comfortable riding in a vehicle with no doors, in particular when the vehicle was obviously made with doors. To most potential renters, doorlessness on the part of the guy showing the place smacks of a place that is low class and does not care for potential clients.

I would have fired you the first time you showed up to do that job in a doorless cherokee. You were costing them money by creating a bad image.

Understand, I drive my TJ doorless all the time, but bid'ness is bid'ness.

What are you talking about? Yes a golf cart is a vehicle with no doors. What does that have to do with anything? The employer has clients visiting his office to be taken out to view properties not to play golf.

Not true, if they were in Arkansas, expectations are low there...

This isnt a leasing office, He was an apartment locater. Meaning, people go to him, tell them what they want in an apartment, and he takes them to different places all around town. Kinda like a Realtor, only with apartments. He didnt listen to his employer and got fired because of it.

hmmm zero posts, just registered. Hi troll

Ahhh yes, equate a lifted XJ w/o doors (more stable? ) that can go 75mph with a golf cart that can do...10mph. Oh I totally see how the XJ is the safer option
