Geology Question (math) Im stuck on this question
Need help here:
If the stream is 3.2 meters deep, the average velocity at that spot can be estimated by measuring the velocity at 3.2 m times 0.6, which equals 1.92 m
At what depth should a velocity sensor be placed to estimate a stream's average velocity if it's 12.5 meters deep?
Same questions as above, but for a stream that's 2.0 meters deep?
Im stuck help!

First you take (12) 12 oz. cans of your favorite adult beverage, crack them open and drink them at a rate of (1) can per minute. At the volume of 12 oz. per minute (60 seconds) which equals 0.2 oz. per second, you realize that after downing your 12 pack, you forgot why you wanted to know the velocity.

That sounds like fun. I wish we had a class like to take instead of physics.

Shouldn't you be integrating over the cross-sectional depth of the stream? That's what we had to do in Geology.

At the end of the semester you decide to drop your physics book off the edge of the grand canyon. The grand canyon is 1 mile deep. How long will it take for you book to hit the bottom of the canyon? How fast will your book be traveling, in miles per hour, just before it hits the ground? Will you really give a s***?

Here's one for you:
You have a 1 bucket with 2.5 gallons of water in it and 1 bucket with 5 gallons of water in it, how many buckets to do you have?
