FedEx Sucks

So I get a tracking number for my Rock Rails. Cool, they'll be here on Thursday. I'll have a couple of days to get them painted and install them on Sunday. WRONG! They were on the truck for delivery yesterday and at 4:30 PM local time the status changed to delivery today. Problem is I'm on the far side of town from these folks so the darn things won't be here until late afternoon.

This is the second time they've hosed me. Last time was even worse! I tracked my package across the US from NY and when they hit Los Angles it started back across the country!!! Took over two weeks to get it sorted out

FedEx SUCKS!

I feel beter now but I still don't have the rails

Considering the vast number of packages these companies are tasked with delivering every day, I always think it's a bit of a miracle that they get anywhere on time! Was the package guaranteed for yesterday, or was it a simple ground shipment? Sounds like the driver didn't get his whole route completed before Miller time. If you paid for an expected delivery of yesterday, I'd definitely be calling to complain.

It all depends on what area you live in. UPS does great some places and not others. Same with Fedex. In Colorado (at least Boulder) FedEx is a chit load better. If you ship something here via UPS it'll go to Commerce City, sit there for a day, try and deliver to Boulder (45 minutes away), fail delivery, bring it back to Commerce City, try again etc...there is a freaking UPS facility in Boulder and it is RARELY used...FedEx always delivers my packages 1 day early from when the estimated delivery date is.

My point being... Don't tell me it's out for delivery and then not deliver it!

Every time, except for once, the estimated delivery date has been exceeded by at least 2 days.

Other than this I have had no problems.

UPS...

i used to work at ups. They dont care about anyones stuff. In the training video it says take care of the customers boxes but when you actually start working on the floor, they tell you, toss it, it doesnt matter. When there are belt jams, people force the boxes through with either kicking or grabbing one box and tossing it elsewhere. There were so many broken packages, its not even funny.

I get your point, but I don't think you got mine. What was the promised delivery date? "Out for delivery" simply means someone put it on the truck that morning. Yes, it would be reasonable to assume that they'd deliver it that day, but if it was a day earlier than promised, then it won't get top priority in getting off the truck. My point is that it sounds like you're complaining that they didn't deliver your package a day earlier than you expected it, but perhaps I misunderstood. Either way, I can understand your frustration.

Their guarantee doesnt mean anything. I work for a title company, and we sent roughly 50 packages a day FedEx overnight, and receive 10-20. We've had a couple packages "lost" in the last 6 months. When I call and complain about the "guaranteed" overnight delivery, when our packages are 3 days missing, I'm told they cant do anything. When I asked the guy if their commercials dont say "Gauranteed overnight delivery" he said yes, but that's a low blow. I said it may be low, but that's what it said. Some of our packages hae eventually arrived other have completely disappeared. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that 70+ a day is a pretty decent number, times however many business. But when they screw up they should man up to their errors.

i swear fedex hires employees that dont know how to read. We do all our business shipping through fedex, and have our own special return labels. I dont know how many times we've gotten our own packages delivered back to us. how hard is it to tell an invoice from a return lable idiots

Got it today, after lunch of course. I asked the guy what happened yesterday. "I didn't see it". The box is about 12"x8"x48"... yeah, right... And english was a second language for sure.

Glad you got them. Mistakes happen. We have all made ours. Think about how many mistakes we make daily, then figure in how many employees work for FedEx, UPS ect. I would say there mistakes as companys are pretty low, compared to how many packages they deliver. It's just personal because it happened to you.

umm fed ex overnight has always been on tiem for us, between shipping and sending in a day the total is probably right around 100.

13 years now and only a handfull of late or lost. I would say that is pretty good,
I have ordered about 10 things with UPS, 2 came damaged, 1 was lost never found, and not a one was on time, closest was about 3 days later then they said.

purolator is another one we use lots and they have been just as good as fed ex aswell.

also for shipping over the boarder fedex doesnt charge 66% of item cost in brokerage fees like ups. if you airmail there isnt even a fee.

US Postal Service can probably give you better service and better gauantee's at a cheaper price. Ask you Postman to have someone contact you. They will even pick up at your office just like FedEx.

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.
