Favre and the Jets, trounced by the Chargers

I was surprised how poorly Brett Favre and the Jets did last night against the Chargers on their 29-48 loss, though I guess Favre is in the midst of a steep learning curve with the Jets totally different playbook setup.

It was an exciting game a few times, but I sure didn't expect the Chargers to dominate the Jets defense so thoroughly. Brett and his receivers looked like they had just met, neither knew what the other was planning to do. Anyway, the Chargers finally put a 'W' in the column. The Chargers are certainly a better team than their present 1-2 indicates.

Not too much of a surprise. the Chargers are one of the elite teams.... just off to a bad start this year. It was only a matter of time before they nuked someone.

You can put a Cadillac logo on a Yugo and it won't suddenly make it a luxury car. The Jets' woes go far beyond just the QB position - namely, a coach that's too conservative in his play-calling for their new gunslinger QB, and a defense that's better suited for draining spaghetti than defending against another teams passes or runs.

Yeah I was on the continuous verge of a heart attack the first two minutes. Then that 95 yard kick-off return by the Jets had my wife ready to call 911 for me until he got tackled at the last second.
