War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I was on the phone with her when it happened and I ended up with a bloody nose that I guess I wiped and got into my ear then when my ear itched later I put my finger in it and it was bloody I also bit my tounge without knowing and when i coughed some blood i swallowed came out. All of this was when I first talked to her then my stomach pains started getting really bad and I got off the phone the paramedics were there and looked me over and "suggested" that I go to the hospital, so I got ahold of my parents who are in Germany right now to ask them what I need to do, we called a friend of the family who is a doctor that checked me out and kept watch over me at his house. Everything is ok now except for a nasty bruise on my stomach and general aches and pains. I have since talked to the girl about all that happend and why I thought I was bleeding out my ears and mouth. And she knows im ok
