I sold my 3000gt and bought this crappy YJ.

My Base 3000GT would hit 155mph anytime and felt like a Caddy. I could hang w/ WRX's, SRT, LT1, and mustangs. W/O a turbo.

If you had the VR4 w/ upgraded Twin turbos, active areo, AWD, AWS nothing could touch you. Possible w/ 10k

3000GT's are dead sexy too, the chicks love them.
The base in Excellent cond. Sold in March for $5300 I bought it for $5500 4yrs ago.
I miss mine everyday, when i sold it i cried for 2 days.

If you like volvos, look at a 97-00 S70 T5.

Turbocharged 2.3L Inline 5-cylinder. Puts out 236 hp and 0-60 in 6.4 seconds.

Yeah or 850R, basically just the earlier version. Only problem is they are next to impossible to find with a 5 speed.

91-95 Mr2 Turbo. You can buy one in good condition for 5-7k. Use the leftover 3-5k for gt25 or gt30r turbo and supporting mods, and you can easily have 400+ hp in a 2500 pound car. If the stock suspension is in good condition, you'd be able to out-handle most cars on the track. Buy aftermarket shocks/springs and pair it with some wide tires, and you'll swear you're riding on rails.

But maybe I'm just a little biased, I just bought a real nice one a couple weeks ago.

Miata is bang for the buck. And someone said a 911 SC can be cheap, mine has been low maintenance and you can get them for under 10 grand, although the market value is going up on them now...BUT, if you do have maintenance issues, it's not going to be cheap. Miatas arrrreee FUN! Woohoo!

Oh yeah, 914's are a blast, but can have big rust issues and may not be worth the maintenance/restoration.

Just buy a 86-87 Grand National for 8k, put $1500 in mods and you'll be in the 12's. Won't handle the greatest, but it'll be the scariest looking and you'll get plenty of looks. And yes you can buy a decent GN for 8k.
