Anyone have any feedback on installing a factory cruise control unit. I have a 2000 TJ and bought a brand new factory unit for under $200. Any tips or tricks before I attempt this install?
Damn, there is a writeup some where...don't remember where I saw it though, sorry. It's straight forward I believe...hopefully the wiring is already in place so you can just hook it up (like the non-AC TJ's have the wiring harness already sitting there...
This is what the dealer who sold this to me said...
"Hi John
I talked to the service writer and he said this one is a bit more
involved than some kits as you have to tie a few wires into the power
control module. But it does come with instructions and if you can not
figure it out you local repair shop should have no problem installing
it. Thanks! Mike Gilbert (Parts Mgr) Lambert Auto Sales. http://www.lambertauto.com"
It sounds pretty safe to me...I installed my hard-top wiring harness which I wouldn't recommend to ANYONE! That wsa not fun. Please keep the feedback coming, I need all the advice I can get.
