Extreme Jeep Fest 2008

I attended the 1st Annual Extreme Jeep Fest today, in McHenry Illinois. It was a beautiful day, only in the high 70's, sunny, with a nice "breeze". I'm not sure how many jeeps ended up attending but it had to be over 50. It was a pretty good turn out. I took a bunch of photos, but they aren't all posted yet, when they are I'll post a link.

I talked to quite a few fellow jeepers today, all very nice I must say. Northern Illinois Extreme Jeep Club did a nice job with the event. There were plenty of prizes raffled off.....I won two t-shirts. They say Extreme Jeep Club on them, so they'll probably end up being oil rags...just kidding.

There were hot dogs, chips and drinks available, for a suggested donation. The Extreme Jeep dealership had their parts department open. Parts manager Rob Hespel was impressed with the turn out, and seemed to be looking forward to next year.

This was a mall crawler, no doubt about it. Had an awesome stereo system and a bunch of other neat stuff.


There were LJ's...well at least one.

Like I said, it was a great day, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a trail ride at the end!

In all honesty though, Jeffro95's account of the day was dead on. Excellent time was had by all....weather was B-E-A-Uuutiful! And the turn-out was Awesome! Someone has to have a pic of that hot rod drag ready CJ that showed up....UNBELIEVABLE.
