That's a pretty sweet idea, simple really, never really thought of that. Although I do prefer a handgun rather than shotgun for home defense. I also prefer the 5 finger combo safe with my pistol in it, just throw your hand on top and push in the combo with your fingertips and the drawer pops out with the pistol ready.

My shotguns are locked in a gun cabinet, because I have two teenage boy's, they have had all the proper training and know how they shoot and know not to mess with them, but I wouldn't trust their friends if they came over and started wandering around when we weren't home.

It's a combination, you press your fingers into the buttons in a certain pattern and it unlocks.
