I must have missed that detail between all of the vwvortex members jizzing themselves with posts of "OMFG Dollyman we luv youuuu!" and a gratuitous use of smilies and sig lines that take up half my screen.

Still, they weren't supposed to 'boot' until the third offense according to their contract. The fact the HOA hired them without member consent is an entirely different issue. Not saying it was right...

Why don't you go check the VWVortex forum where the thread resides and let us know.

I second the vote that HOAs need to be deemed illegal and any rules they make unenforceable. My parents are in a community that recently went HOA and it sucks big time. One of the worst things is that all votes are subject to how many lots a person has. My parents have two so there vote counts as two. Sounds good right. The developer has over 200 lots and a couple of realitors have that many so they will always win. My mother has sent them a couple of letters on things they said were against the rules on their property and so far they decided to leave her alone. But they are having problems with a gate at the enterance and my step father (a good man) does not have the patience this guy has and I can see that gate wrapped around the front of his chevy truck any day now.

I have to say that I would not have the patience that this guy has had either. These guys would find peices of their boot surrounded in glass in their bussness floor one morning.
If I had any more problems out of them they would suffer anything my mind could come up with.

Chris.

But by not doing what you described he has stayed out of jail and has a chance of winning this.

Very true but I guess that goes to show how bad of shape this country is in.

But we have a pretty good family attorney that would say in court that since they are not law enforcement they had no right messing with my property and that I removed there junk and returned it to them. since they were not open at 3am I had to find away to make sure they received their illegally placed equipment.

Trust me when I say that I have had a few battles with DAs that like to place fliers under my wipers. You would be surprised at what happens when a jury member has been wronged by crap like this. You would also be surprised at how quickly charges get dropped when you ask for a jury.

Apparently the guy was issued a gag order. There was supposed to be a court date to overturn the gag order on the 9th of July, but being that it is now September 14th, and there are no current postings, I would assume that he lost, on that issue anyway.

A d35 would have solved the boot problem pretty easily...

Just more proof of government control. A gag order should never be used unless there is threat to life involved. Bottom line they are afraid that if these things got out to the people then others might join in.

If all of the homeowners would have cut the boots off their cars the expense would not have been worth the company to push fines or court. They would have been to busy trying to recover the cost of the boots. As many as they started throwing out there they might have been forced out of business before being able to afford all new boots.

Ok, I'm not up on my legal mumbo jumbo (I'm also only 15 minutes awake), does that mean that Blake won or lost? Or is that a side case? Please help a confused soul here...
