So apparently APS lied to someone who called them, and sait A1/A2 is in jail. The modorator of the forum contacted A1/A2 and found out it was a lie. But apparently A1/A2 has a gag order or something simmilar.

Scot, they were freezing the locking mechanism and then busting it. Simple, but if busted they got in trouble for damaging the boot.

Nope! They were like Robin Hoods or something. Vigilante kids with liquid nitrogen For someone to get in trouble the police would have to know who "They" are. It was several years ago but I remember it was funny.

Reasoning? Sounds pretty believable to me, some company get's hired to do a job and wins the contract, a little power goes to the owners head. Someone challenges him, he get's on a power trip and screws with a lot of people. Guy outsmarts the company and the owner loses his mind and tries everything he can to make an example out of the guy. Happens all the time...

Wow, just have read whats on JF, but pretty interesting. I was thinking if he goes to court what will happen. The case will be against him and not the retailation (which sucks becuse that would work in his favor). However, all his actions were assured by the police department, so that should hold weight in his favor.
I think the parking nazis are sore about getting their feelings hurt. I don't think the story is bogus, even if the situation has gotten out of hand. My father (indepented insurance salesman) has been drug into court by his clients for stupid ****. He went to court one time becuase this lady didn't pay her home insurance once. My father gave her a week, three day, day of and your insurance is no longer in effect notices. The client's house burned down the next week. Three years later she tried to sue him saying that he should have automaticly transfered the house to some comerical business insurance, which wasn't leagaly possible and she never responeded to the notices. In court, her lawyer and the judge looked at her like WTF are you smoking.

according to the parking enforcement forum (linked above) he was unable to get the gag order overturned. He is also selling some of his cars, but he said it was not related to the case

Wow, that was quite the thread! I love it when guys like him get the "bad guy's" goat.
HOAs are one of the worst ideas ever. A group of busy-bodies telling people who have an investment what they can and can't do with it. I would never buy in a place with an HOA. They should be gotten rid of and not be allowed to form. Also, the "homes" he lives in are D.R. HORTON homes that are nothing more than mass produced cookie cutter homes where HOAs thrive. They built a few like that near my parent's house and they are absoultely depressing hell holes. They were having to rent them out because they couldn't find buyers and were losing money on them. ****ing irresponsible development, ruins nice places. This thread be crawled! I loved it. Thanks for posting! |

In this instance though, the HOA had nothing to do with it. It's the towing company they had the contract with (operating independently) that was out of line.

The HOA HIRED the towing company after forming without consent from the residents. Who gave the HOA permission to do any of that and who formed the HOA and with what authority?
