I was messing around in the snow. I was going 15-20, and drove into the snowbank in front of our house. We snowblowed the driveway, then went and got the pickup unstuck. It was stuck becuase there was snow piled against the spare tire and axles (and everything else)

Here goes (long story)

I was going to lunch one day. Was on a 4 lane road (2 lanes each direction + 1 center turning lane). Coming up to a red light I was in the fast lane, no one in front of me all the way to the red light. Right lane was backed up 10 cars or so because of a xfer trailer truck turning right at the red light. I was cruising at about 50 mph (45 speed limit so not really speeding). There was a car sitting in the center turning lane to my left turning left at the red light. About 5 car lengths from the red light a car in the right lane come all the way into my lane. I dodged all the way over into the center turning lane and avoided them. Well I had to dodge back into the lane I was in to keep from hitting the car sitting in the turning lane to turn left. I kinda squeeked between these 2 cars. While all this is going on (I'm dodging, looking around, hitting the brakes, speeding up ect... everything I can do to avoid a wreck like a freaking tire commercial or something) the red light turns red and I don't see it because... well I'm busy as hell. I went through the redlight hit an Avalanche. No one stopped to tell the cops what had transpired so I get the ticket. Totaled my GTI totaled the Avalanche, no one was hurt.

It worked out though, friend of mine is the sales manager at a local Ford dealership. Day after the wreck happened he took in a 2006 Red Rubicon. I got it for 14,500$ (what he had in it from the trade in). So I can't complain I got a 06 Rubicon 50k on the clock, fully loaded, hard top, soft top, bikini top, aftermarket bumpers front and rear, Warn XD9000i winch on it for 14,500$.

My most recent purchase, '02 FXD Dyna Super Glide
Very happy with it so far... not totally fond of the V&H Short Shots though... makes my ears ring.

'06 GSX600F Fun little sport-touring bike. Not too uncomfortable, but not super fast or super agile either. Katanas are what I recommend in every one of those "Never rode a bike before, what should I buy to learn on" threads. Super easy to ride.

'79 L82 Coupe, dad bought brand new 1/11/1980 for $14,411.33, my college graduation gift from him.
Now that my dad's gone (died @ age 50 due to a blood clot), I get goose bumps every time I get in the car... is like he's sitting right next to me.
Not really all that fast, but it handles very well... great fun to drive.

And a couple that I don't have anymore:

'73 GT750 - Sold last year to a bunch who export old Japanese bikes back to Japan
These old bikes were a blast. 3 cylinder 2 stroke water cooled. 2-stroke oil injected & CV "Slide Valve" carbureted. From idle to redline it was quicker than my Katana, but the Kat's top end made the Kat much faster.

'03 Ranger FX4 Level 2 - Traded in since wife couldn't drive a manual. Really, Really miss this pickup.... but I love my wife a lot more than some pickup truck.
4.0L 5 speed w/ manual shift transfer case. Skid plates everywhere, torque sensing limited slip rear, Factory Alcoa 15" wheels w/ 31.0 X 10.5 All Terrains, and Bilstien shocks. All stock from Ford. They quit producing the level 2 for the '08 model year.
