Enjoying alcohol while on the clock.

Here I am at work, doing anything other than what I am supposed to get paid to do, with a 6-pack of Sam Adams in my belly and a half pint of Irish whiskey sitting in front of me and I can't help but wonder - how many of you out there get to enjoy such perks while on the job, and it be company sanctioned?
Where I work we pull 13 hour shifts four nights a week, and then get four days off. It's a pretty good deal if you ask me. And one of the perks is that we get to enjoy the "finer" things in life on Friday and Saturday nights if our schedule should include one of those days for the week.

so let's hear it, is there anyone else out there that works for a company that is lax enough to allow this to happen?

I used to do it when I worked a **** job at a local market. Right now I work normal hours, take pride in what I do, and there is a very high change I would hurt myself or someone else if I drank at work. I'm curious to find out what you do though.

I'm not alone.
There are a dozen more like me.
But Tullamore Dew is a very fine Irish whiskey.

Well hell, if it's good whiskey, then drink up. There is no excuse for drinking ****ty beer though.

Technically - I program lasers.
Realistically - We build overpriced reproduction hotrods for people with more money than some African countries.

Wow-what quality. Thanks to idiots like that guy, the rest of the world thinks all Americans are lazy, arrogant SOBs. Enjoy the rest of your evening at 7-11 jerk.

AA?? I never said I drink every night that we are allowed to, only that the company I work for is lax enough to allow us to do so.
Who's life is ****ty?
I have a great paying job, an awesome wife, and a little boy that I am in constant awe of. My life means the world to me (life meaning the things I do and the people in it), maybe you misunderstood my intentions. Plus I only work half the year.

That's some cartoon ****, right there.

I drink a lot at work, being a toxic waste transport driver is stressful work, being drunk eases the stress.

Really? Who gives a ****. I'm sure hes old enough to make the decision to drink at work or not. When a hotrod rolls off the assembly line with a penis spray painted in primer on the hood we'll know who did it.

Ever been overseas? My dad was at a powerplant in france for G.E. and they were drinking wine in the control room, asking him if he wanted any. Most countries don't have problems with it like we do.
