Does not take a welder. A drill and some imagination you can make a stronger than stock bumper easily.

QUOTE:Its common knowledge you NEVER park a manual in gear.Suppose the starter engauges? The vehicle will move until the battery wears down.I've seen the result a few times, once it caused BIG damage to a building.

Ok then smart guy, what the **** happens if the E-brake fails and your car is in neutral...it rolls, and rolls, and rolls, until it hits something or somebody. Also if you're gonna install a remote start you pay a little extra and buy a damn safety.:

I'm not arguing the point of buying the proper equipment i'm saying that whoever told you to park a car with a handshaker in it in neutral is dangerous.

Any one that thinks this mechanic is at fault is a f***ing moron. did the OP tell the mechanic how to park the vehicle? did the mechanic even know that there was a remote starter? did he know that some hack put it in without a kill switch.

don't try to blame stuff on mechanics just because you are a moron
you guys are losing site of what the discussion is really all about

he should have wired up the SAFETY SWITCH

Nobody's arguing with you anymore. You've already lost the arguement. ....badly. Now we're just mocking you and your backtracking.
