East Coast SNOW STORM

Has anyone else been watching this weather development? NWS is predicting 16-24 inches across most of Northern and Western VA, DC, Baltimore, Etc. My personal prediction is 28" for my area (Harrisonburg, VA)

Should make for some good playtime in the Jeep

I live in Pa and we got snow the other day and now a good one for friday into saturday. The bad thing is my jeep is torn apart in the garage so i can't go out and play. Figures we get a decent snow and i can't play. Well it will be a good day to be out in the garage and do some maintance work on the jeep.

I've heard a lot of different predictions, but as of right now they are talking about around 20" or so.

Last time they predicted a snow storm for here (MA) of 12 or more inches it ended up to be 3 inches of accumulation. Disappointment.

Hm...I could also relate that statement (minus the snow storm) to some men I know.

It's definately coming...they're talking a "historic" storm

This topic has been brought up before, but if I drive around with a strap and pull people out of snow banks and such, would it be wrong to charge them? I mean, if it was an old lady or something I wouldn't charge them, but an idiot kid in a civic...that's gotta be worth 20 bucks.

what you should be doing with your Jeep in a snowstorm (while having fun of course) is offer to help you local meals on wheels and other similar services. Oh and NOT charging

Cool idea.

I pull people out of the weeds whenever circumstances make it necessary and prudent; haven't charged anyone yet. Sometimes they try to press a few bucks and I ask them to donate it to the ARC or ACS.

I do the same thing, I've never charged, and I've only been payed once (F150 slid off the road, and a older man in a Colorado, which I assumed was the F150 drivers dad, payed handed me $20 because he couldn't get the truck out of the ditch.) I never ask for compensation, but not gonna lie, it sucks when you pull some expensive SUV out and you hardly get a thank you, but I guess in a way karma is it's own reward.

Good idea, I've seen clubs that offer rides to hospitals for employees, but this is also a great way to help.
