Dumbest thing you've done in your Jeep....

Well I think I just did it...something extremly stupid in my Jeep.

I was pulling some metal posts out of the ground today with a rope and the Jeep in 4Lo. Well all goes well for the first few, but the 4th one I was having trouble with. I kept on trying, and WHAM!.: Part of the metal post breaks off and smashes through my soft tops rear window. Thank god it didn't hit my head! I'm ususally quite careful when towing or winching, but I just wasn't thinking today. So now I'm checking out some replacement tinted windows.

What's the dumbest thing you've done so far?
NO flame wars please. We know it was stupid..this is just to help educate the rest of us.

Mine's only dumb because I've done it more than once.

Wasn't sure the 4wd was working after some vaccum problems, so I stuck my head out the window and punched it, only to get a face full of mud courtesy of the front tire.

about an hour later I did the EXACT same thing, with the same results. Idiot.

tried to drive through a big pile of snow in an intersection last winter. stopped me quick. i had all 4 tires in the air somehow. i was just about to call my dad to get him to tow me out and then some guys in a ford truck helped push me out.

later that day on my lunch break at work me and a friend who has a WJ were out doing doughnuts in the snow in the back parking lot. once again, i tried to drive through a big pile of snow and once again i got stuck.

Cruised around town in my old CJ back in highschool with doors off and top off with 6 other people.

Trying to Fishtale the cj on dry pavement.

Also making the front end come off the ground by pushing the accelrator over and over.

Give it some time im shur i can think of some more.

Oh yea running the xj into the back of a parked tire truck.

showing off to my friend... it was raining...
i pulled out of a parking lot and dropped the clutch. fishtailing my rear end to the right, pointing me towards an oncoming car. I then countersteered too much, and with my foot still on the floor plowed right over a curb, miraculously missing a mailbox and a telephone pole by like 2 feet on each side and ended up on someones front lawn. i was screaming WOOOOOHOO!!! the whole time lmao. i drove nonchalantly across their lawn to their driveway, put on my directional signal, pulled out, and proceded to drive home fairly slowly My parents wondered why i was checking out my front end for tweaking when i got home... i told em i hit a big pot hole Stupid and dangerous, yes... but I learned a lot about the short wheelbase of my YJ that day

got stuck at the trailhead on a freinds property, no lift, stock tires, pretty much a firetrail nothing too hard. Only problem was a shallow ditch I had to cross, it was nice and frozen and I didn't think much of it, i jumped up and down on it and it didn't budge. Drove my jeep on it and CRACK I sunk in mud up to my bumper. I was a total noob, didn't even think of airing down.

Atleast I put on recovery equitment before I tried it.

My ex-girlfriend.

Or the time I was at a friend's house and drove into their fire pit. What made it worse is that I did it on the 4th of July and there were about 50 people that saw me do it. I really need to pay more attention to where I'm going. Had to get dragged out with a tractor.

Got highcentered ona snow berm a couple years later while driving doctors to the hospital at 6am in one of our blizzards. Nothing like doing a good deed and geting a hall pass.
